Birthday

Today was my sixteenth birthday. My youngest sister gave me a pad of paper and a doll, (incidentally, the same doll I gave her about a year ago) and my next youngest gave me a hand-sewn dress for my bitty baby doll. Mama bought a candy jar, and all my little brothers and sisters found pretty rocks to cover the bottom of it with, and Mama put in a nest with two eggs in it that I'd found earlier this year. Daddy bought me a pair of small, (as in, wouldn't fit on my pinkie if I tried small) 14 karat gold hoop earrings. I'm wearing them right now! They are my only earrings that don't bother my ears, and they look really good with the necklace Daddy got me for my thirteenth birthday. ^--^

Internet Browsers

I go to a forum call Varus Online. Recently I've been having trouble with it, and one of the Admins told Elaienar that maybe it's because we're using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox, which, it seems, is the most popular browser out there. I don't care for it much, but Varus won't work without it, so I don't have much of a choice, do I? DX And now I'm all confused, because I keep on going between the two.

Also, because of all the leaky pipes and bad plumbing we have in this old house, we are having to rip up the kitchen floor. D:

But anyway. It's raining! Woot! And I got lots of milk from this morning's milking. And I drew a picture that I actually like! Double woot! And how cool is it to find a fellow Ron Paul supporter really close to your own age on your new second-favourite forum?

And here is a picture that I drew that I actually don't hate. As a matter of fact, I like it. Please tell me what you think of it. I know there's someone out there reading my blog, I've got a site meter to prove it. Don't try to hide your existence.

Listening to music

I was thinking about making a bit of a rant here about the main bad guy in Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, but in the end, I changed my mind. Instead, I will be spazzing about Syaoran's voice actor's awesome singing voice! (He has a male voice actor!)

I was listening to songs from Tsubasa Chronicle, and there's one called Yume no Tsubasa or something like that, and there are two versions. One, where Sakura's voice actor sings alone, and another where she sings with Syaoran's voice actor. It's soooo cute~ *spaaaazz*

Oh, yeah. Their names are Miyu Irino, (Syaoran) and Yuui Makino. (Sakura) Miyu-san has another song he sings, called Kazuna. It's so awesome! ~squeeee~

.... Fangirl-mode over. XD

Smash the Rules

When was the last time you broke the rules of a dream? I just did it this morning. Broke a rule of dreaming. I told someone in my dream that I was dreaming.

For the past few days, I've been helping Mama get ready to go to Missouri. She's going to Arkansas first, because her sister is having a birthday next week. She made her a prayer book! So she and Xhavan left yesterday morning.

In my dream, it was saturday morning, (today) and we were having prayers, when Grandma Joicie and Pa came up the drivway. (Surprise!) Mama wanted to show Grandma Joice the prayer book she'd made, only she couldn't find it, and that made me remember that Mama isn't here. I am dreaming, and I am mad. I want my mother. So I went, and told her that I was dreaming, and she was just part of my dream, and she's like, "Oh."

Aaaand, a whole lot happened after that, but it was very confusing, so I won't go into it.

Alone Again

Last week, some friends came over to visit, and took Xhavan and my second sister home with them. This morning, Mama, Elaienar, and all theremaining syblings went to go pick them up. Daddy's at work, so I'm all alone in the house. Except for the cats. I brought them in, so I wouldn't be so lonely. Right now, they are up on the couch playing war/napping in turns.

It's sprinkling outside, and in a little while I'm going to make Mama's bed and go out to check on the goats. I should probably take some pictures of the nubians while I'm at it, but the lighting will be awful. I should probably wait till it clears up, but I don't know when that will be. XD

By the way, I found a 'doll' at a website called dollzmania(dot)com, with a dress that I was able to edit so that it looks kind of like the wedding dress I've been designing. It's not finished, though. Here's as far as I've gotten:

The blue dots are beads. I intend to have some going around the hem of thr dress, and up the front some, too. I'm thinking about having a detachable train for the back. (there won't be any beads on that)

Once again

It's happened again. Another one of our goats has died. This time it was Ella, our oldest goat. She was the third goat Daddy bought - he sold the first two last year - and was one of the best. I don't think she was anybody's favorite, the way Jemima was, but it was still pretty sad. I knew it was going to happen, and I think it's better this way, too. She had a hard life, and moving to Missouri would have been really hard on her. Of course we were going to take her! I don't trust any goat-owners I've seen so far to take care of her... That is, there is one, but she would still have to move to missouri, if we were going to give her to the one goat-owner I trust.

Here is a picture I made for her:

I think part of the reason she died is, because of the drought, there hasn't been enough water, so the plants haven't been growing as well,so the goats don't have enough to eat. We are going to sell our four pure-bred nubian does. First is Heidi, who I think is about six years old, and then winter, her daughter, who is about three years old. Then Winter's two doelings, Jasmine and Faun/Fawn, who were born this spring. I was hoping we could keep the doelings, but after this, it's better that we sell them. I'll put up some pictures of them later, when I've made some to upload.

(By the way, I know my weather pixi shows that it's pouring rain, but in reality, the most is a slight misty sprinkle)

Wedding Dress

I'm only fifteen, and I'll be sixteen in under two months, but already I'm designing a wedding dress for myself. I'm even trying to pick out the flowers that I want to have in my boquet. Does that sound strange to you? Mama said she was my age when she started designing hers, so maybe it isn't. Someday I'll upload all the pictures I drew, (using bases Elaienar drew for me) and post them here.

HOMIGOSH!

Do you remember how I've mentioned how we're going to move to Missouri? Well, a while back Daddy and Mama found this absolutely gourdeouse peice of land, with a bity stone house on it that had been gutted. It's forty acres, partially wodded, and has a really nice clearing at the back. We all walked around, looking at it, and Mama even found the perfect place to build her dream-house, and then Daddy made an offer on it! The owner made a counter-offer. which Daddy excepted, and we closed on it just yesterday! I'm so excited! I'd been praying that we would get it for a while, so I'm reaaaly happy! 8D *bounce bounce* Mama's already figuring out how to rebuild the little stone house, so we can live in it until the big house is built.

I'm going to be taking an online history class this fall, so I've been reading over Genesis so that it will still be fresh in my mind when I start class. I;m going to have to outline it, so I thought it would be a good idea to be very familiar with it. But as I was reading it, I came across this passage;

And he [Isaac] removed from thence, and digged another well; and for that they strove not: and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land. ( Genesis 26 verse 22 )

I took one look at that name and thought "Room for both!" It was so funny! I wonder what the word really means. It would be funny if it really means something similar to that!

About Kittens

I forgot to mention the five kittens and one adult cat in my last post. Last year we got a female cat to eat the mice, and earlier this year she went into heat. She had a kitten - yes, a kitten, because it was her first time. He is a really cute cat, but Paisley wasn't supposed to have any kittens! So we were going to watch her to see when she was in heat again so we could lock her up, but one day, lo and behold, she was pregnant again! This time she had four kittens; three boys and a girl. We don't have any pictures of them because our camera is broken, but there is a black one with a wite spot on his chin, an orange-striped one, a sort of tan-and-brown striped little shrimp, and the girl looks like she's going to be a long-hair cat. They are all multi-coloured, exept for the little ginger. Well, yesterday they were old enough to leave home, so a couple of ladies came and picked up little ginger kitten. Poor Paisley is worried to death, looking around for him and mewing pitifully. I feel bad for her.

Mama is wanting to keep the girl, and we had already dicided to keep the first, Ransom. Of course Ransom is going to be smarter than his mother, growing up outside with his mother, unlike the way she was brought up. His younger siblings are going to be even smarter than him, having an older brother along with their mother to help bring them up, and other siblings. And they were born outside, so I tried my best to be sure they stayed out a whole lot. They were sleeping outside almost from the very begining, too.

I got back from my grandmother's last week, and am very happy to be home again.

Alone

My three brothers are going to my grandmother's house for a few weeks, so yesterday Daddy and Mama took all three boys and two of my sisters to visit my Great-grandmother, and meet the grandparents about halfway, so that they don't have to travel so far. That, of course, leaves Elaienar and myself all alone. It's fun, in a way, but I am so hungry! We aren't doing anything in schedule, and she's not cooking meals. (Well, I am milking the goats when I'm supposed to, and taking care of the chickens, too, but that's about all.)

We had six turkey chicks, (called pults, or something) and all of them are dead now. One of them drown, four came up with whatever disease they get from drinking water with chicken leavings in it, and the last one, I think, just pined away because it was lonely. The sad thing is, we also have some guinea chicks (called keets, or something like that) who have been sleeping under that turkey's wings for a while now, as if it was their mother. And it was this morning, when I was going to take them outside for the day, (because we keep them in at night so they won't die of cold and wet, or whatever) and I found the turkey stretched out behind the water-er. So I took it out and buried it. I think I am tired of things dying all the time. .-_-.

Daddy has finally sent in an offer for the land out in Missouri that we really want to get! I really hope this goes through! Mama has been trying to figure out what we'll be able to take with us, and what will fit in the ity bitsy house once it's all fixed up. I can hardly wait!

Beloved pets

How sad is it when a beloved pet dies? Or even a favorite farm animal. So far we have buried two goats, countless chickens, and now we are going to bury yet another chick. Apparently, she was everybody's favorite. She was called 'Penguin,' because she almost looked like one. Just this morning we founf out she wasn't looking quite well, so instead of taking her outside with the rest of the chicks, we left her and two others in the box we were keeping them in. She seemed to get bettr for just a while, but then tonight Daddy cme out of the room and said she was dead. Because she was actually loved, and all of my younger siblings are crying for her, we are going to bury her with out in our 'Beloved Animal Grave-Yard,' where the two goats are also buried.

This is she, sweet Penguin.
And on the picture above, she is the one with a black back.
Mosey is saad.

What to say...

What do you say/think when you hear about the person who grew up in church, but later left the faith?

"Oh, well, I would never do anything like that!"

No, of course not. You say; "Lord, please don't ever let me leave!"

At least, I do, anyway.

It's really scary when you see someone talk about how they used to be a christian and then left the faith because they found something better, or they heard somethinig that made them doubt. Or something happened to them that they think no merciful God would would have let happen.

Friday, I watched a documentary called Expelled, and it showed a man (who looks very much like someone from my church) who grew up in the church and yet became an athiest. An evoloutionist.

And then this morning, our priest was talking about a battle, where so many people were killed, and so many people lost their faith, but one man he talked to who survived believed that the reason he survived was because God was protecting him.

Which is why I made this post. I don't ever want to leave the faith, the thought is scary. -_-

I'm a grandmother!

.....

Okay, not really. But close. Remember the goat I told you about whose mother died, so I bottle-fed her? Well, she's just had babies last friday, and because I'm her Mama, then her babies are my granddaughters!

I'll have to take some pictures and upload them, they are the cutest little things! ^-^ I'm calling them Ann and Ree right now. (short for Antimony Brownie and Repunzel) I don't know which is the older, because Jemima went down into the pasture behind a tree, and had her babies quietly down there. But I think Ree is the older. She's the weaker one, and Annn was the one standing when I got down there, but she seems more like an older sister than Ann does.

Ann looks more like her mother than Ree. She's got all the same markings, only instead of brown and cream, she's black and brown. And Ree is black and cream.

Did I mention that they're the cutest grandbabies a body could wish for? Well, they are!

And Kate and Skip have been named! The names are Hansel and Gretel, so from now on that is what I'll be calling them.

Quit Insulting God

Somehow so many people say things that imply God is not perfect, that he is a liar, and that, above all, he is a weak fool. This really irks me. God says the bible is his word. Some people say it merely contains his word, I.E., God is a liar. Some people argue that as it was written by men, it is likely to contain errors. But that is saying that God is either too stupid to pick men who will not make errors or mistakes, or that he is too weak to prevent them from being written. I don’t remember the argument for this, but another thing I’ve heard said id “God doesn’t have time to listen to me,” and that is just as stupid. God invented time! God lives outside of time! He is everywhere, and has all the time in the world – and more, too! By saying he doesn’t have time to listen to your prayers, you are saying that, not only is he not Almighty, the way he says he is, you are saying that he is weak.

On a happier note, I have now read three books out of fifty. My goal is to read fifty books before the end of the month. I’m about to start the fourth one.

My list so far:
1. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
2. The Golden Goblet by Eloise Jarvis McGraw
3. Eight Days of Luke by Diana Wynne Jones
4. Cheaper by the Dozen by Frank B. Gilbreth, Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey

Smelly Hands and a Challenge

Last night my hands smelled like onions. Now they just smell like soap.

I was on a fourm last night, and I noticed a thread that said 'Fifty Book Challenge' The point of the game is to read fifty books in a year. If you think that's too many books, go for twenty five or fifteen. After a while of choking with laughter, I noticed they said, "If it's not enought, go for 100 books." Much better, don't you think?

I've already finished the first book, and I've started the second. I should be finished with that by tonight, so i'll have to decide which book to read next. I'm thinking either Indian Captive, or Brat Farrar.

Here is the list of books so far:

1. A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett
2. The Golden Goblet by Eloise Jarvis McGraw

You should try doing this! It's fun. I can wait to see what people will think when I finish before summer is over! (That's giving me lots of extera time for other things in-between chapters, by the way)

Grandparents, moving, and goats

My grandparents are visiting! *dance dance* They live soo far away, they don't get to come very often, but hopefully we are going to move closer! Daddy and Mama even found a place they really like, and they are going to make an offer on it - well, they would like to have already have made an offer on it, but things go so slow there! They say 'You will get used to it when you move here' and Mama said to me 'Yes, but if they don't speed up, we can't move there to get used to it!' Ah, well. Lord willing, it will happen soon!

Have I mentioned yet that I have a goat? I didn't think so. The way it came about was this: We had a goat who was everybody's favorite goat, and she had a kid, and died about a week later. So I nursed her kid (whom I named Jemima - after her mother) for a while, until I got one of the other mama goats - whose kids we had sold already - to nurse her for me. She's nearly a year old, she's going to kid soon, and she still calls to me whenever she hears my voice. It's soo cute! ^-^ I can't wait to see what her kids will be like!

I am also taking care to be sure she is good and healthy, because I worry she might die like her mother. (who was about five when she had Jemima) we didn't mean for her to get mated, but the buck got into her pen, so here we are. Now I take her for walks to get plenty of green and growing food, and I give her a handful or so of grain at milking time. When we - if we - move, I plan on taking her (and the goat who nursed her for me) with us.

I have some pictures of her with her mother when she was a baby - she looks much more like her mother now, her fur colour has lightened a lot. When she was first born it looked black, because it was wet. When it dried out it didn't look quite so dark, but still much darker than her mother's fur.

Cbox

I had to get rid of the Cbox that was in my side-bar, because it was making ugly pop-ups every time I come to my blog. -_- So it's gone now. But I saved the contents, and if you ever want to see them againg, just ask, and I'll put them up somwhere where you can read them.

A Storm and a New Word

There was a very strange storm yesterday... and I found out that trees 'round here have the most shallow roots you have ever seen. O.O There were lots of strong winds, and then it started raining, but the sun was really bright. Then it stopped raining. The wind broke our powerline - is was burning for a little while - then today the power company finaly came and fixed it. Yay! ^-^

I came up with a new word a while back... Nyern. I think it means something like 'bother', but I'm not quite sure. Example:

"Mosey, You shouldn't double-post."
Mosey: "Nyerrrrn..... Okay."

"Mosey, you need to get to bed before 10:00 tonight.
Mosey: *looking at all the dishes left she has to clean before she gets to bed, and it's already 9:30* Nyerrrrrn..... "

...............

Did you know that smiling releases a hormone that makes you feel happy? I was at the acupuncture's office and there was a book for people who have stress problems, (like me) so I read some of it. It was very interesting. Next time I go I will read some more of it.

I am praying that Dr. Paul will win the republican nomination.... So pray with me, please! He is our last hope for America!

My blog was this close to shrivling up and dying. I should not neglect it like I've been doing.

I have up-dated my links. There should not be any dead blogs left on the list.

I was looking over some of my previous posts. Somehow I just don't know why I thought I could keep up with a blog. I can't even role-play!
.
.
Since I made the last post, I have grown up quite a bit. I now know about Ron Paul, I have had a chicken die in my hands, I've watched a favotite goat die, and then a baby goat died, only a few months later, while I was at my grandmothers. I've had a broken appendix, moved to a new church (It's quite good. everyone is so friendly, and there's so few people there that I know them all. We're the only children in it, and Daddy and Mama are the youngest couple.) I ahve learned to play the piano fairly well, and my next recital is on Friday. I will be playing Prelude in C by J. S. Bach. I played it last summer in my grandmother's church for the offertory. I've written two poems, my very first ones, neither of which are any good, one of which I cannot find, and the other of which I will post here for you:
.
.
.....Cloudless, starless sky
.....Shiny, watching eyes
.....Fingers, freezing cold
.....This is a story Old
.....So Old...
.
.
That one is supposed to be creepy. I made it for a contest. (Guess who didn't win?)
The other one was about leaves. I wish I could find it.....
.
So, as I can think of nothing more to post about at the moment, I will leave it at that.
.
Byebye!

I will not be playing Irish dance or the other one for my ricital, my teacher wants me to do songs that are more advanced. I think I Might be playing The Dragon Hunt for my recital, but I can't think of another one, and I'm supposed to do two. Maybe I'll do air For The G Stirng this time. ^_^
